• UserTracker Error

Hello All,

When using the usertracker occasionally it will not write any data to the db, fog log shows (on unit / service start-up)

01/10/2014 06:31 FOG::UserTracker Unknown error, module will exit.

however the next day it may be fine and capture the data

has anyone else seen this or has a suggested workaround?

Ben ensure your php.ini file has your timezone defined, ubuntu location is "/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
date.timezone = “Europe/London”

Timezone list can be found http://php.net/manual/en/timezones.php

also ensure you have a daily cron for an ntp update

create a file/etc/cron.daily/ntpdate containing:

ntpdate ntp.ubuntu.com
sudo chmod 755 /etc/cron.daily/ntpdate

Hello All,

We are using Fog to track user log on / off times to the workstations, the time on the server and end points are correct however when using the Report Management the time stamp is incorrect

any thoughts?

Thanks

• User Login Hist

I would like to automate the user log in history

looking at the url when manually viewing a user

HOSTID = 0 i assume this means all hosts the user has logged into?
USERID is the user i am review
= must be the date range but i am not sure how to set it to all dates ?

IP ADDRESS /fog/management/index.php?node=report&sub=user-track-disp&hostID=0&userID=test12323544325=

is there a way to do this? and save the PDF to a folder? i could then set up a script to name the files from id’s to user names then have it email

it would be great if you could do this on all workstations within a group

Thanks

Hi Tob

i was running dnsmasq without any issue

are you using dnsmasq for a DNS server or just to pick up your fog server on PXE boot without needing to mod you DHCP server?

is that all of your ltsp.conf?

when PXE booting does it redirect to your fog server?
