Hey guys my school campus recently got new desktops. HP Prodesk 400 series, Windows 10. My fog worked perfectly with older machine but now with UEFI I can’t seem to get to work. I upgraded my server to Windows Server 2012 Datacenter I believe it’s R1. I might be wrong. I followed all the sets on adding vendor class from the guide. HP bios has IPv4 boot at the top of the order but I see it for a slight second and I see it get an IP but it just skips into the OS. I don’t get a chance to go into fog and register the new desktop. Any ideas?

FOG Client
Hey guys I wanted your input on imaging. Should I install FOG client application before capturing the image and then deploy it. (Any authentication problem) Or should I create the image with the FOG client installer on the desktop and double click it one by one. What do you guys think?

Snapin Packs
Is it possible to use snapin packs to install multiple applications. For example, I create a script that installs chrome, firefox, 7zip, etc. In the zip file that is uploaded to FOG contains the script and the application that i want to install.
Reason i want to do this is because i can create monthly batches and deploy them once a month (updated version of apps) I’ve tried but have been unsuccessful. -
RE: DirectX 9 snapin
@george1421 I ran it and it didn’t work. I tried “/q” instead and that worked but it wasn’t silent, a dialog boxed pop up says where you want to extract the file too.

Trying to install software through Network shared folder
Hey guys I’m trying to install Kurzweil 3000 as a silent install. The command would be executed through a batch file that would give the command to install the program from a shared folder. Can’t seem to get it to work here is the log file that it gives me when I run it.
If i run the command with the file located locally within the system it runs it. What am I missing to be able to do it through a network shared folder?

Snapin arguments? For EXEs
Hey guys I’m having trouble understanding what arguments to use when deploy certain EXEs, MSIs are pretty straight forward since they have a template. I know that Snapin Packs have EXE template but they don’t add any arguments. Where do I find arguments I can use and how to know when to apply each of them. Is there a universal list of arguments that can be used?
Thanks in advanced FOG has really helped me out and my school campus. -
Using snapins to place 2 files on a folder

Reboot Restore RX and FOG Client issues
Hey guy I’m having issues with FOG Client after installing Reboot Restore RX. This is a software that allows to restore windows to its initial state kind off like a snapshot. So that means that when it restarts everything goes back to normal. This prevents students making changes. But since it restores everything the FOG client always loose its authentication with the server. Is there a way around this?

RE: FOG Client sometimes doesn't work
@joe-schmitt sorry I didn’t check my notification until today. It hasn’t happened anymore I think the problem was that i was resetting the encryption data every time i did something new because a friend told me he did it like that but turns out I didn’t have too. Thanks for trying it out. Sorry I made you search a dead end
