@george1421 ok thanks for the information
I seen some topics on this but it wasn’t really clear if i need the client or not. love to hear any information about this. i tried using the Active directory info when i imaged a client, but it did not join to the domain.
@quazz same error i keep getting this right at the very end
ok the web interface location and /opt/fog/.fogsettings are set the same. is their something else i should try as the database still fails to update.
well its still failing to update the database. I updated the creditials to match which is still not helping. the link does show this error but i really dont see a solid resolution anywhere
i forgot to mention. when i try to deploy the image this is the error i get as well
I’m try to capture an image but it will not update the database. these are the steps that im doing. Everything looks good until the very end. I will include the images to see if im doing something wrong. The begining shows an error but keeps moving
looks like its grabbing the image then i get this error at the very end.
the task never completes in fog and i have an invalid date on my image even though it show file size.
Any suggestions?
@tom-elliott DEXTER is the storage group i created. Well after looking in the storage group it was not added in the storage group field, after adding it their it appears to be gathering. I appreciate and thank you sir. I’m sure i will have more coming soon
@george1421 ok getting frustrated now. I created a group. made my node the master. when i try to capture an image im getting this.
Here is the images
Here is the storage node and Group
Not sure what im missing here
@george1421 ok that makes since. as of now we only have 2 which are not storage nodes. they are normal installs. will that matter?
@george1421 ok i will test this out and let you know. lets say i caputre an image from the non master device. will it sync to the master node from the non master node?
@george1421 I removed my storage groups and made nothing the master node. I had a group but i was getting the same error so i removed them and the master node. we will eventually have multiple sites with fog if i get it working correctly been having some issues with PXE but got that resolved, but now this error.
Let me know. Right now we have just 2 fog servers. we would like to replicate so all of them will have the same image. I heard this was not possible as we would need each one to use the boot feature so a storage node would not work. We were using SCP to transfer the images over to the fog server.
I’m current unable to create a task. capture or deploy an image. I have registered my device (client) and when i try to start the task im getting the below error.
DE is the client i named. using centOS 7 fog version is 1.5.4 any suggestions?
@tom-elliott said in After update to 1.5.3 node offline and unable to PXE boot.:
selinux is set to permissive or disabled
well that was it. it was disabled before never thought of looking at that. i turned it to permissive mode. i was able to boot to my fog Server. we had a power outage it must of defaulted back to enforcing. thanks appreciate it.
so this is what happened when i ran the commands on the fog server.
Here is what happened on a windows client trying to download the file from my fog server.
I can Ping back and forth fine.
i ran that command the was no such file or directory. however there is one for /tftpboot/ipxe.efi
yes the 10.10.61.254 is my fog server. i will run the command and let you know.
the error is the image already posted. I’m also unable to PXE to the fog server. when the Pxe boot starts i get this. wow when i took the pic i was actual able to get the error i was unable to see it before. here it is. Looks like my PXE file has O bytes. should i just add this again?
After that i get this.
