What VM is FOG in? I may need to remote in once I get back from my appointment to see your issue. Right now, Wayne’s issue is not related to fog in any way. It is because he’s running a hyper-v VM and the systemd-udev is using all the cpu trying to set a file it can’t access.

Our two FOG servers are both physical boxes.

I’m not seeing this issue with my dev server. Can you associate that above error message with a specific action or page?

Also what does top show as the process with the most CPU consumed?

top shows mysql taking the most resources. seems to happen the most when I do list all hosts or click membership from inside a group.

@Scott-B we have something similar planned for FOG 2.0. However, for 1.X we don’t want to add any more features (this one would take some significant time). Our focus now is to solely get 1.X as stable as possible for a 1.3 release.

Sweet. I look forward to seeing it down the road.

Other then going into each host, or even there groups, is there some way to mass enable service settings? I’d like to enable all but the ones turned off at the server level.

• RE: How to edit the pxe boot menu in FOG 1.2.0

@ChrisJ said:
There are a couple of examples here in the forums. e.g.: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/boot-menu-iso-file-size.12442/
Thanks. That worked. Got the AVG ISO booting now.
If anyone is interested In Fog 1.2.0, in the fog configuration in the advanced config options text box I have this :

menu
item --gap – ---------------- iPXE boot menu ----------------
item AVG AVG Antivirus scan
item Sophos Sophos Antivirus scan
item shell ipxe shell
item return return to previous menu
choose --default AVG --timeout 5000 target && goto ${target}

:AVG
initrd http://${fog-ip}/${fog-webroot}/iso/avg_arl_cdi_all_120_141126a8645.iso
chain memdisk iso raw ||
goto MENU

:Sophos
initrd http://${fog-ip}/${fog-webroot}/iso/sophosbootable.iso
chain memdisk iso raw ||
goto MENU

:shell
shell ||
goto MENU

:return
chain http://${fog-ip}/${fog-webroot}/service/ipxe/boot.php?mac=${net0/mac} ||
prompt
goto MENU

autoboot
Next task is to customise that iso so its got up to date definitions, sets the network and proxy appropriately and has 2 options “scan” and “custom” where scan just gets on with it (if nothing is selected) without asking loads of questions and custom gives access to the original ARL menu…

Very helpful @ChrisJ, thank you!

@Scott-B right but you don’t have anything in the advanced items. There is the login and it is working fine. But the advanced menu is its own configuration setting that you put your needs in.

Ah… okay. I thought that was just called from fog.advancedlogin.

@Scott-B What is the same result?

After checking box for “Advanced Login Required” > saving > booting > choosing advanced menu with login > entering login > loads default.php and advanced.php > then just moves on to the local hard disk. If there is an error between loading advanced.php and booting the loca disk, I can’t see it.
