I noticed this the other day, on the fog primary I run the update as I always have to move to the current svn trunk. However the version number hasn’t changed. My storage node reports just fine. Where else can I check to see if a new svn has been applied other than the cloud image or the system activity window? My primary reports 6179 and the node says its 6261.

I’ve tried removing the svn directory as a whole and letting it download everything again as well as using wget, extracting, and installing.

Is there a way to mass change an image association? Such as any host with 4000WIN7 to 4000WIN10? SQL?

I think so, if any new info or issues related comes up I’ll post.

I pushed up a new image from one of the host types I was testing with. With that new image I was able to deploy to another host. Corrupted image? Even my backup of that image did the exact same thing. Is there a way to scan or test a partclone image to see if its corrupt?

On the computer you tried with, try a different hard drive, and reseat the ram.

The printers in this case are setup in FOG local printers. They are all pretty much setup the same. This is on of the printers where I saw the issue.

They are then assigned to a group or a specific host in FOG. On the client if not already, I’ll make sure the legacy fog client has been removed for the new fog client. I’ll stop and start the fog service on the PC. When it FOG checks for work it doesn’t add the fog assigned printer, but does remove any other installed ones.

I updated two the two newest svns at the time this showed up, but that didn’t make a difference. I did run the commands below for rights although they were already the same.

chown -R fog:root /images
chmod -R 777 /images
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/fog
chmod -R 755 /var/www/fog/
chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/isos
chmod -R 755 /var/www/isos/
chmod -R 644 /var/www/fog/index.php

We tried two different machine types, both of wich have two images that can be deployed to them. 4000 and DAK61 are the images we used.

I haven’t yet uploaded a new image, but will be doing so shortly.

Having an issue pulling down our images. They start, restore /dev/sda1, then fails restoring /dev/sda2.

This is not a partclone image.

An error has been detected!
Image failed to restore and exited with exit code 0 (writeImage)

Thing is, the images were made using partclone. Just to try, I changed the properties of the image to partimage to see the results which was the error has been detected, device will reboot in 1 minute.

Images are partclone in the default /images folder. All multi partition, single disk, not resizable (Win7x32). I’ve tried three different images on two different machine types with the same results. If there is any other info I can give please ask.

Ubuntu 14.0.4 with FOG SVN 6175

As an update I just had this happen on two Win7 x64 Pro workstations so its not just a Windows 10 thing.

Noticed a problem where on a Windows 10 x64 machine FOG removes non-fog printers even though the host properties are set to “no printer management” or “fog managed printers”. Same result with or without fog printers assigned. Anyone else seen this?

I don’t know if it will or will not fix the issue, but if you can do anythign from debug, it might help me help you out. From the sounds of things, it’s forgetting what the hd is on the system.

I ran a deploy debug, and saw it was using /usr/share/fog/mbr/fog/win7.mbr… which is not there. /usr/share/fog as a whole is missing.

Same result after updating to SVN 6112.

Trying to deploy some images and I keep getting the error “no disk passed”, “computer will reboot”. It shows the image name and that its using the correct disk so I’m not sure what’s going on. Rights to the /images folder are 777 to fog:root.
