I did try pushing out a printer via FOG using a path to local driver files and I ended up with the same result as if the drivers were accessed via UNC.

Very strange. Are you using the new client or legacy?

      Currently legacy across the district.

@wayne-workman I’d prefer to use the UNC path instead of a local path. I used to use a local path but kept running into issues, usually small but annoying. Plus, using the UNC path, I can manage the drivers with ease.

I have to 2nd using UNC if at all possible, so much nicer to manage.

On another note, I made a test printer pointing to a local path and FOG filled in the path with “\” where just “” is needed. Same thing we see on our UNC printers.

@Scott-B hopeful now the sprintf and reference errors are gone. I don’t know if it will fix the problem but at least the errors won’t present an issue.

    • printer installs fail

Printers through FOG have stopped auto installing. It will create the ports fine, but never installs the drivers. FOG.log reports the printer has been installed correctly, and only throws and error when setting as default.

Currently on SVN 5044, but it been happening for a few.

    • default printer keeps reverting to last in list

Had an issue today where a host with 3 assigned fog printers kept defaulting back to the printer that was last in the list. Moving the green check mark to the desired printer only stays there till you navigate away from that page, then back to the last in the list. I tried adding the 3 printers in different order, but still didnt make a difference.

The variables it’s attempting to use should be capable of passing directly from the ./installfog.sh.

You would change the install part from ./installfog.sh to:

http_proxy=http://<proxy>:<port> ./installfog.sh This is theory, never fully tested though.

Any idea if we are not using a proxy?

@Scott-B Just a suggestion but - it’s not always a good thing to update… Tom is trying a few things right now, and you might wanna go back to the version you came from lol.

The devs do their best to make every revision a good one, and do appreciate the bug reports, but you also need to understand that using FOG Trunk involves some risk and you accept this risk when you use FOG Trunk. Patience is key when reporting bugs.

Of course and I understand, was just providing feedback.

Try to increase memory limit in your php.ini maybe.
