RE: HP XW4600 Workstation - Network card error whilst imaging
@Tom-Elliott
Once downloaded you’ll need to unpack the bz2 file using the command:
tar -xjf fog_trunk.tar.bz2
Then go into the **unextracted ** file. Follow these steps:
cd fog_trunk/bin
./installfog.shThen follow the onscreen prompts. After a little while, you should have a successfully installed FOG server.

@Sebastian-Roth
I’m not sure since I left tech department many things changed. I’ll ask techs since when we have this particular model and was there any problem before.Apparently there was no problem on Fog 0.32 at all and XW4600 worked beautifully

HP XW4600 Workstation - Network card error whilst imaging
Hello guys,
Today I’ve met a problem with HP XW4600 Workstation, whilst I tried to boot and image it.
After the system started, PXE loaded then gave me an error ‘no network interface found’
Network card: BroadcomBCM 5755KFBG
HS0826 P12
BIOS version: 1.14
Intel 82801IR I/O Controller
I’ve had this error before on previous 1.2 built (Dell 760) .
On current built 5566 so far I found the problem only with HP XW4600 Workstation.
It works on external network card but won’t on built in. -

What network is on the system? What is the manufacture? Is there a network card on the system? Do you have other systems of the same model that aren’t having the same problem?
I just checked it, inside the machine is intel nh82801gr -
RE: How to remove login and password in Quick imaging
@Tom-Elliott
Sorry for the mess
Yes I already did this and now I’m waiting to check is it working or notRegarding the network cards, as I said, tested on many different cards and there is the same problem with the other cards as well.
So i tried Dell 390 on old (fog_0.32) and guess what … it takes about 20 sec until it start imaging so … maybe I should change some timings in new fog but which ones ? -
RE: How to remove login and password in Quick imaging
@Tom-Elliott
Tested on builtin Intel, external PCI Braodcom, External Intel PCie.
Meantime upgraded to the latest (5566) so what i suppose to do now to remove the password and login ? -
