Furthermore, I’m trying to get this going as a portable server I can set down anywhere, image some machines, and go to next site. I assume this is possible with FOG, but please let me know if you think I’m just making more work for myself to no discernible advantage.

awesome… 12.04 it is then… is there special sauce for FOG in the server version versus the desktop version, or just fewer packages installed by default on desktop?
What happens if you try to install the up-to-date version of FOG 1.0.0?

Also please let us know which version and Distribution of linus you are using, from the information provided I have deduced that it is a Debian base, but that is all I can determine.
FOG now has everything it needs to setup your server, but please
understand that this script will overwrite any setting you may
have setup for services like DHCP, apache, pxe, tftp, and NFS.

It is not recommended that you install this on a production system
as this script modifies many of your system settings.

This script should be run by the root user on Fedora, or with sudo on Ubuntu.
