    • Can't open multicast on clients (login issue)

      It returns to menu too quickly for me to see what exactly it says.

      I tried adding new users or even login with default user, but none of it is working.

      login
      params
      param mac0 ${net0/mac}
      param arch ${arch}
      param username ${username}
      param password ${password}
      param sessionJoin 1
      isset ${net1/mac} && param mac1 ${net1/mac} || goto bootme
      isset ${net2/mac} && param mac2 ${net2/mac} || goto bootme

      That’s the code I have for multicast atm

      I also can’t delete any multicast sessions through webgui

    • RE: PHP 7.0.0 finally Released

      Latest svn update causes install to fail at php7.0-mbstring (as it does not exist), which is rather confusing as I can’t find that package in the ubuntu install script or anywhere else for that matter.

      @Tom-Elliott Thanks for the help, looks like the updating to the newest version didn’t properly merge the config file so it still had php_ver set to 7.0 which would produce the results I experienced.

      I can confirm that it works now.

    • RE: PHP 7.0.0 finally Released

      @Tom-Elliott This works, except it looks for php.ini in /etc/php/apache2/php.ini rather than /etc/php/apache2/7.0/php.ini (which causes the install to fail)

      Have to admit I’m not a fan of how they decided to change basic structures like that.

      @d4rk3 Could you go through the steps on how to make it work?

    • RE: PHP 7.0.0 finally Released

      On ubuntu (after manually setting up the packages for php7.0 in .fogsettings) the install script fails at backing up database.

      Also, there is no php7.0-mysqlnd yet as far as I know, so using version 5 for now.

      Just wanted to mention that the code listed here for Ubuntu removes all packages from .fogsettings except apache and php7.0, it also incorrectly adds php7.0-*libapache2-mod-php7.0 (when it should be libapache2-mod-php7.0)

      I’ve resorted to simply not using an unattend file for the time being. The few times I tried using unattend files (created in various ways) it never ended up coming out right. Microsoft kind of screwed it up as far as I can tell.

    • RE: Disabling password requirement in boot menu + rearranging boot menu

      You could also add the following lines to the top

      set username fogusername
      set password fogpassword

      Giving the following:

      set username fog
      set password password
      params
      param mac0 ${net0/mac}
      param arch ${arch}
      param ${username}
      param ${password}
      param sessionJoin 1
      isset ${net1/mac} && param mac1 ${net1/mac} || goto bootme
      isset ${net2/mac} && param mac2 ${net2/mac} || goto bootme

      Mind sharing your virtual settings, particularily the network one?

      If I’m not mistaken, some virtual adapters don’t play nicely with PXE.

    • RE: Disabling password requirement in boot menu + rearranging boot menu

      These answers are both correct, but there’s another way and that’s to use the FOG Menu Configuration in the Webgui to change the paramaters passed to boot.php

      Here is my fog.multijoin for instance

      params
      param mac0 ${net0/mac}
      param arch ${arch}
      param sessionJoin 1
      isset ${net1/mac} && param mac1 ${net1/mac} || goto bootme
      isset ${net2/mac} && param mac2 ${net2/mac} || goto bootme

      Notice three lines are remove, the login param, the user param and the password param. Although, for me personally, this does not work on newer revisions. Works on 6186 and before, not sure about anything after (in my testing it no longer worked and just brought you back to main menu saying invalid login)

      Interesting, I’ve had this happen before (it halts the progress), but usually if I just try again it will work fine.

      Is the computer running virtualbox doing other stuff while you’re trying to capture from it?

    • RE: Yet another Person with DNSMasq issues

      Try editing out the dhcp-option-force.

      Also

      pxe-service=X86PC, .Boot from network., undionly
      pxe-service=X86PC, "Boot from local hard disk", 0

      Try editing out the boot from local hard disk and put the Boot from network between " "

      Does anyone know if dhcp-option-force actually works in proxymode? I know that a lot of the DHCP options don’t work in proxy mode.

      edit: also make sure there are NO other config files in /etc/dnsmasqd/
