    • RE: FOG 1.0.1 - client doesn't get the FOG boot menu.

[quote=“TOMMY C, post: 28922, member: 8253”]I used this kkpxe file and was able to get the boot menu & upload my image via Lenovo M78 workstation (similiar RealTek card). However when I go to DOWNLOAD the newly created image, the computer goes into an endless loop, reboots, the task completes and disappears. Any ideas? I’m going to attach a .mov video captured from my phone. Any help would be great. This is a fairly new model just released from Lenovo. The video that you have posted is pretty much the same thing that’s happening when I try to download an image to one of my computers, only I’ve tried to deploy the image from the Web UI rather then selecting the Quick Image from the PXE menu.

Have you found a fix for this? What do I need to do? Help!!! - I have a dead machine with a new hard drive waiting to be imaged but I’m now really stuck after upgrading to 1.0.1 from 0.33 - I’ve made sure that the Image File has been setup to use the legacy imaging options but that’s made no difference.

      Thanks

      Matt

Does anybody have any further suggestions I can try please? I’ve got a new hard drive waiting to be imaged but I’m kind of stuck at the moment with it all.

      Thanks

      Thanks Junkhacker…

I found the setting and did that but still doesn’t seem to be working? 😞

      Anything else I can try?

      Thanks

    • RE: Fog 1.0.1 - Can't deploy image

I’ve found the setting in the config to show legacy mode - I’ve changed the image to PartClone

      Using Kernel:-

      Kernel - 3.14.2 TomElliott
      FOG ID: 1054

I still get the non-booting as shown in image IMG_2048.jpg

      Using Kernel:-

      Unofficial Published Kernels
      Kernel - 3.14.5 TomElliott
      Date : June 1, 2014
      Version: 3.14.5
      FOG Type: TomElliott
      Arch Type: (x86_64)

I get to the screen shown in image 2044 in original post then restarts without starting to deploy.

      Anything else I can try?!?!

      Thanks

      Matt

    • Fog 1.0.1 - Can't deploy image

      Hello,

everything seems to have updated OK, I can access the Web GUI, I’ve set the O/S for the images in the Image Management section of the GUI. I’ve changed our setting for 067 on our DHCP server to undionly.kpxe - i’m trying to download an image to one of my machines (that worked under 0.33) and it seems to get stuck on the screen as shown in the image.

I’ve tried changing the Kernel to the unofficial Kernel - 3.14.5 TomElliott, and this does seem to go further and looks as if it’s about the deploy the image but then reboots and says task successful without actual starting to download the image.

I don’t really know what else I can try? - Any hints or ideas please??
