Is there a way to get a win8 image to upload in 0.32? Host OS? Kernel? etc values?
Perhaps some potential MBR issues?

That worked for me. Thanks much. We have a 350 PC deployment coming up and they can now all be deployed thanks to you. Cheers!
We have been imaging with fog here for a good three years. We had no issues at all with the DELL Optiplex 380, 390 and 3010. We just started receiving the 3020. When attempting to auto register fog freezes and hangs. I assume there are some driver issues here. I have attached a screen shot.
Any ideas?

I get to the fog splash and I attempt to perform a quick registration. It than just moves down one line at a time with no text. I watched it do this for about 5 minutes than I powered off the server.
I have been using fog for many years for cloning workstations and it has been great. I tried to clone a Windows Server 2008 box today and it will not register.
Does fog support cloning windows servers?

Does FOG have this capability?
We have a main site with our FOG, DNS, DHCP server and secure VPN and many remote sites with secure VPN tunnels back to here.
My clients at the remote sites are picking up a DHCP address but are just sitting at the TFTP… syntax.
It never goes any farther (PXE is first in boot order. All clients work with no issues when not going over the VPN tunnels.

I understand that FOG .32 does not support AF drives. I am trying to figure this out as I have a NON AF drive image that I have depoyed via FOG 32 to an AF disk. It seems to work with no issues.
A while back I deployed a non AF disk image to some WD AF drives in one of our labs. They seemingly ran fine for a day or two then ran into all kinds of strange freeze ups, apps opening up very slowly, logins taking a long time. I finally figured out that the drives in these boxes were self encrypting AF drives. I had them replaced with normal drives and thety have been fine.
I attributed the problem to the self encrypting aspect of the drives and not neccesarily the fact that they were AF drives. When I ran the Dell Partition Alignment tool against the drives it told me that they were aligned optimally already.
When I run the tool against the AF drive that I mentioned in the beginning of this post it also comes back as aligned.
Can someione explain to me in what way does the current version of fog .32 not support these AF drives.
i see you already have, what is your image win 7/xp? also whats your image settings within fog web ui ?
My image is a Win 7 Image. Image type single partition NTFS only. I upped an image that works with no issues on 32 and this problem occurs. I am trying fog 33 because we are starting to get advanced format drives coming in and I understand fog 32 does not support them. Will fog 33 allow simply using pre existing non af drive images with af drives and vice versa or will I need to create all new images when fog 33 is ready for prime time? When I image an AF drive now with 32 to an af drive the partition ends up aligned but I assume there are other issues.
I installed latest trunk and am able to upload my images with no issues. When I attempt to download my images to a box the computer gets to the blue screen with progress bar for an instant and then instead of starting to download the image the computer just reboots. My .32 fog box works fine. Is this an issue anyone has seen?

Will a non advanced format drive image have issues when deploying it to an AFD drive or will Windows align it properly? What support does .33 give compared to .32. I see that .33 supports AFD drives but it what way?
I have a .33 test server up and I am trying to figure out if I need to vreate all new AFD images for this type of drive or whether I can use my old non AFD images and deploy to AFD drives.
I have fog working perfectly with Win 7 and Dell 790’s and 390’s. I had an issue with some Advanced format/Encrypted drives where after a day or so the os would freeze, things would take a long time to load etc. This was attributed to this type of drive. I had them replaced and they have been perfect. Unfortunately these drives are all that we are going to be able to get going forward.
I don’t know if the problem I had was attributed to the Advanced format or the fact that the drives were self encrypting.
I understand that 32 does not support advanced format drives. How so? Can I deploy a non advanced current image to one of these new drives or will I see the same kind of issue that I already saw?
Do I need to recreate all of my images If I try to use 33 beta or will my current not Advanced format images work?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

cisco 2811 to 2811 with vpn configured. I ran the command on the workstations that were hanging at TFTP (After changing the boot order)
We were able to get the drives swapped out with different non Encrypting/Advanced format drives and all has been fine
I have a functioning fog server and it has been working well but I am seeing some issues. We have 2 buildings connected with fiber and the clients on the subnets are set to PXE boot first in the order. These all work with no problems.
However we have many other buildings that are connected via a VPN tunnel back to our main location. Whenever I attempt to PXEboot a client at any of these locations the box gets stuck at TFTP and never goes anywhere. When I issue the following command from any of the problem boxes the command is successful.
tftp x.x.x.x get pxelinux.0
Any ideas?

I have imaged a Dell Optiplex 790 and am having strange issues occurring. The workstations I just found out have Seagate Momentus Self Encrypting Hard drives with 4K sector size. The boxes image fine but they have extreme night and day performance issues within the OS. I can log into one box and can happily click on apps and they open fast with no issues. I can log onto the same box a day later and it takes 20-30 seconds to open apps that took just seconds the previous day.
All drivers from Dell have been installed so I don’t think it is any kind of driver based issue at this point. I have rebuilt these from scratch now twice and am baffled. I do not have these problems on the 390’s and 6520 laptops that I fog. These however do not have these self encrypting drives. Has anyone had any experience imaging machines with this type of drive using fog? It seems to be the only x-factor that my other Dell hardware does not have.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks
