I have resolved the issue , on my Nic configuration i had more than one IP Adress set , and that confused the ssl key creation process.
Once i went back to one ip adress , the keys were created and the setup complete.

I had to install fog through Squid proxy that i have setup , just for that. Because of the way my network is built.

Fog can join windows pc to the windows domain, yet i don’t know about its Clone features compared to Vmware system.

thoughts , ideas ? what will i need to test this ?
the Main feature i am interested is the Recompose …

i have tried different pxe files from the dhcp , different kernels, nothing seems to help.
i am thinking it has to be the intel pxe driver , but i really dont know. because another hardware computer works fine.

Hello all
I need some advice how to proceed.
I am unable to register a pc to the fog server.
The pc is rather new so it might be that a kernel update is required, but I am not sure , would appreciate your input.
My system is Lenovo M93P , have a look at the images I have attached ,
The M93p pass the compatibility test , yet the networking is not working right, it cannot ping back the server /get a reading on the ip address read the etc/resolv.conf
I have managed to register another machine on the same c onfigured network , but it was an older Intel h61M board gigabyte model and there is no problem there with getting ip/ping or reading the resolv.conf file.
I am using the latest SVN fog Git 4355
Ps. There was a problem accessing the 4.1.3 kernel ( bzImage) was not found so I reverted back to 4.1.2
Only then I could get into the fog menu on the client machine
My question is, do I need to install Linux OS on the M93P in order to build a suitable kernel , or it is not necessary , my fog server is deferent hardware then my workstations.
Or if anyone knows if there is already a kernel for this model ?

thanks, i have another issue, after i get the OK for downloading kernels and inits ,
i get Failed to get client version downloading New Fog Client file…
and the installation stops.

Thanks Tom, something strange is happening while i’m updating , it get hang on “… Downloading New FOG Client file…”
more than half an hour now.
this has never happened to me before.

atached log file. does it give clues for what is wrong ?

the clients waits on clear screen saying "starting to restore image (-) to device (//dev/sda2)
and does not move foreword.

personally i prefer vmware player , i think that the networking coding is more solid. but its up to you …

it did help get pass that error i was having , but something else is wrong i cant register, quick or full , after bzimage is loaded i get three very quick lines that says something … not found… cant read it it disappeared fast.
so thank you for the code, but something else is broken.

i have attached boot.php for reference, but it seams fine for the untrained eye.

now they don’t boot
