    • RE: Imaging Logs, replace all the older logs on the field "Image"

      Hi guys, @Wayne-Workman @Tom-Elliott

Finally I solved it was because once that you delete the image name, can’t be empty name on the log so, is using the last image name that you use, even if the information is not true.

If you don’t delete any image the log is working ok. If you delete will use the previous name from the last usage. I believe that the best is that the log become in this field as “empty” to not confuse, but it is ok.

      Thanks.

@jacoboren said in Imaging Logs, replace all the older logs on the field "Image":

      “Report Manager” > “Imaging Log”

      @Tom-Elliott @Wayne-Workman

First thank guys to check my question, and sorry to not explain so well.

When you go to here: “Report Manager” > “Imaging Log” you can access all the logs with the history of images and who capture and who deployed right?

So, as you can see it as example the image that call “Master_9” it is the latest one at 2017-09-04 at 16:35 minutes. So this image name replace all the previous images name as “Master_8” “Master_7” for example that was executed hours before.

This means that if I create “Master_10” will overwrite this column to Master_10 in all the history logs.

Is it clear? If not I’ll try to explain again.

      Thanks.

    • Imaging Logs, replace all the older logs on the field "Image"

      Hi,

I have a problem in the timing of the “Report Manager” > “Imaging Log” on the place that is “Master_9” it is another image but every time that I chose a different all the rest before is updating to “Master_9”.

For example If i create now “Master_10” all will be replace to “Master_10”.

      What is wrong here?

This happen after I use this, when I lose my gui on fog server.

Hi guys, first I would like to say thanks for all of you that help me here on this amazing tools that is FOG.

      Special thanks for @Tom-Elliott @george1421 @Sebastian-Roth

Unnfortunately I can’t share more info about the AD for policy of the company that I work, I check out about the AD tables directory parents and even like that I couldn’t establish integration.

So I use the plugin of Access Control Manager , and create local users.

Looks great, you can make the filter of what the users can see it, but these bunch of users also can see the images of others users when list the images and the hosts as well. It is not a problem for me now.

Thanks a lot guys you are amazing.

      Hi guys, @Tom-Elliott @george1421 @Sebastian-Roth

I still fighting to make it work, try almost everything, seems that is fetching there because I have another Linux machine integrate with LDAP on the same network, the ports are OK, I also verified it.

      This is my output:

      tail -F /var/log/apache2/error.log

Have something wrong on the field “Group Member Attribute”=“member” ? I’m also still with doubt about the field “Admin Group” this is what I think but I don’t understand exactly what should be there. You see it on the print-screen.
      What should be there?

      Thanks guys!

    • RE: Users, not machines at the Active Directory.

Thanks for your effort @Tom-Elliott ,

This is a dedicated server for who wants to add to the AD so I changed, but I tried before with both of them.

      ou=workers is correct.

“Admin group” means the group that the user: “ad_yoalbuke” belongs right on the AD? If yes is write down with spaces so i need to add backslash “” ?

      Thanks!

    • RE: Users, not machines at the Active Directory.

      Hi guys, @Tom-Elliott @Sebastian-Roth @george1421

I still having a thinking that something on the ldap integration with the OS can cause problems…so what I did it?

Rebuild again on the step that doesn’t have any installation to fecth OS to Ldap, I though that some libs are creating conflict on this issue.

So from now I only have the plugin installed, and follow everything that we talked before, I still without working…

My FOG version is 1.4.3. What I am missing here? Any clue?

Hi, first thank so much for all help of you (@george1421 , @Tom-Elliott , @Sebastian-Roth ) make me more motivation to use FOG on my environment.

I saw that was missing the package: php5.6-ldap (from ubuntu) and was installed, and i still having the same issue even with “ad_account”

This is the print of my conf. Where can I see the .log output when I try to do login, have a dedicated file for it?

      What is missing here?

      Jacob.

@Tom-Elliott , @george1421 Thanks for your assistance, I did it as Tom explain here, and find it this print also from @Tom-Elliott here

      https://forums.fogproject.org/assets/uploads/files/1481746756040-upload-0df64a0d-c188-4747-beec-b20c51d3dd38.png?v=qmakmgm1n9o

But still without work. It is necessary that at the OS is integrate as well with the AD at /etc/krb5.conf for example or the plugin of FOG should be enough?

      Many thanks!
      Jacob.

@george1421 said in Users, not machines at the Active Directory.:

aware that FOG is not a backup tool. It is a whole disk imagin

      Thanks for your answer “georger1421”,

The issue is, every user need to have his account separated to login at FOG. For this integration with AD is necessary.

In my case each user will deploy and capture his own build.

      Thanks.

    • Users, not machines at the Active Directory.

      Hi,

I’m brand new here and I log FOG.

I look for a different thing of the trivial of Active directory.

I don’t want to put machines at the AD like other topics, I looking for how to put the user login at the fog platform (serverimages.com/fog/management) separated by user not by local but as domain\jacob and then this user can save and deploy the images by himself.

I joined the Linux server at the Domain but the FOG doesn’t recognize the users at the login.

      Someone knows?

      Many thanks.
      Jacob.
