Also i have reverted our snapshot but am happy to go through it again.

i added the information in and it worked.
localhost, root and PWD
but once i got it, it was broken in Chrome and not much better in IE
@Wayne-Workman said in Uploading image breaks source machine, 7, Win10:
@george1421 Looking at that second script you posted, I wonder if we should just recommend to install the fog client inside the setupcomplete.cmd script itself?
THANKS TO ALL FOR THE REPLIES. indeed you are all correct.
I would like to add that i like the idea of installing the service at the end of sysprep.
this is hard diag but it seems that if i upload an image with old fog agent it works.
If i install 10.6 (agent) we get an error about hardware (trying to get screenshot now) and then a a reboot to this error.
The source machine also get this message when it tries to complete the process?
I have found that if i sysprep and boot without uploading to FOG it doesn’t error.
any idea’s?
just rolled back to 7561, all working again.
I’m on 7601 and have the same issue, only just updated from 7561, was fine before. I am pushing a new image.
just updated to SVN 7561 and now there is no output at this time.
I have set an upload job from the GUI and it gets to the
init.xz…OK
keyboard works.
I have gone through the fog login and selected something from the menu. (using keyboard to nav)
it’s when it drops out to complete the task, this comes up.
Not hijacking, hope to be adding too.
Using snponly.efi & Surface Pro4 + pro4 docking station for LAN
oh my, yes. I have checked with PC user and it was linux before.
wouldn’t have thought it would end on GRUB.
should it not boot loop or say " no OS found" as some machines do.?
when I tried to complete a quick wipe it ends on GRUB>
Normal wipe seems to be be working OK. (Writing Zeros to /dev/sda)
Please can you take a look.
you should dump Ubuntu for this:
https://www.turnkeylinux.org/lampstack
install is SO easy and the features of the stack are good too.
http://fog-server/fog/management/index.php?node=schemaupdater
(if i remove the end of the URL to make it /management, it resolves the rest…)
I agree with both. it would be wrong of me to assume all users want to use the same version.
IF the work has been done then I wouldn’t say undo it. But picking CentOS, RHEL,Arch & Debian only would allow for less documentation writing. Don’t forget that a lot of users only install linux to use FOG. they just want step-by-step and easy access / support.
I’ve been working with FOG for many years and am loving all the new bits
But why don’t you cut the dev time by only building for one distro. I have been using https://www.turnkeylinux.org/lampstack (Debian ) with FOG as suggested by another member.
This would also help us create manuals with more details and step by step.
using this distro build. the install notes are very small for example
But you also get SQLDB access and SSH via HTTPS, out the box. it’s a nice little solution.
