@george1421 The campus has it’s own subnet, im changing the problem with it. When I used a VM to test it, desktops in the lab have a hard time trying to connect to the FOG server via pxe boot. It times out after it tries to bring the gui up. So I’m trying to figure out why it keeps timing out. VMs will boot to it fine, but any physical systems either time out or boot fine with it.

Fog PXE Boot for specific workstations
I’m currently setting a fog server up in a CNET class, to allow easy imaging for workstations students build, test out ubuntu and windows off of PXE. There’s only a problem, the network is connected to the whole district, where I want to isolate the PXE boot for those specific workstations, and keep it in the lab and not accessible around the campus. I will be running Dnsmasq to help with issues evolving around the DNS servers. If you dont mind lending a helping hand. Would you help guide me with this?

My server I have up and running has a problem when I install fog, Once fog installs successfully, I can no longer log in under my root account, saying the password is incorrect. I have no idea what it is, and I would like some help.

Fog won't capture images
My fog server was reinstalled, it works fine till I tried to capture a image, and this one has me stumped because I have never seen it before. Everytime it captures a image, its fine till it updates the database, then it sits there, till it times out with a jungle error. Help?

RE: FOG Node setup failed
@sebastian-roth I disabled the firewall on the fog node and the fog server, I have tried to use the password that is listed in FOG Storage Nodes. Here is the error log file.fog_error_1.5.8.log

FOG Node setup failed
I can currently creating a FOG Node for my fog server, but I can’t even get pass the setup, I am currently running on FOG 1.5.8, due to the lack of boot files for PXE boot, My FOG Node also runs 1.5.8 but the downside is, it won’t pass the setup, everything installs fine, till it gets to the point where it needs to check the connection to the fog server, it always fails. I think it’s a mysql error, but I’m not very sure. Some please help?

@sebastian-roth I looked in the registry and I deleted the left over fog files, I got it to work after a little tinkering.

RE: Fog Client not installing
@george1421 The Client installation files were gone, there in no info in the program data directory. I think it’s the registry entries left.

Fog Client not installing
I have a current issue on my main office workstation, I had the old legacy fog client installed from my old fog server, I installed the latest version of Fog 1.5.8 on my server, I went to install the new Fog Client on the workstation, it keeps appearing saying I need to uninstall the old client before I install the new one.
The strange thing, the client isn’t installed, I looked it up in programs and features and It isn’t in there listed, and the Program File location isn’t there either. Is there a hidden file I need to delete? -
