Has anyone worked with the Dell Latitude 3379 (windows 10), I’m trying to capture an image up to the fog server using a star tech Ethernet USB 3.0 adapter, and the settings are on legacy but still no luck. If someone can help me out that had a similar situation that would be helpful.

@Quazz @Tom-Elliott I set the task to capture and the progress bar on the desktop computer goes all the way though

When the image is done it is saying the database failed, incorrect login and attempting to update database. Now the last thing that I did when I couldn’t get into the database last Friday, I used the ALTER USER command in mysql .
I’m trying to capture an image but under active task the status is showing a spinning wheel. I know that last week I changed the ALTER USER password to blank would that cause the issue? Where would I look to view the log file?
@Tom-Elliott is there a way to do something like a system restore to previous settings instead of doing a reinstall?
@SOL how do you set the root password to blank?
I"m also getting this same issue this morning, I restarted MySQL but no luck still the same error.
@george1421 my co-worker was thinking we should keep it on the network to deploy it within the building. He wanted to know what needs to go in Windows DHCP option 67? Where is that file located?
@george1421 I can isolate it by unplugging the cable that’s to the main network .
@george1421 How do I change my fogserver to hand out DHCP but on a standalone network , how would I make changes to become a standalone server?
@george1421 so do I have to recreate the image again? Or do I just change settings on the new fog server?
@george1421 I’m able to get to the web interface, now will I be able to just copy the images off the external hard drive onto the new fog server and how do I get the new images to show up in the list?
@george1421 I just installed it from a file that I downloaded but now I’m using the upgrade to trunk method.
@george1421 there is no white botton and its ver:1.3.4 but it was the .gz file install.
@george1421 I have the new server up but I’m getting a white screen when I type in my IP address. This is the error message that I am getting " You still need to install/upgrade your database schema"
Just bare with me guys I’m a rookie when it comes to this Linux OS.
@george1421 Also if I have in the past just copied over the images using the gui interface to the external drive will that cause a problem with those images onto the new server?
