p.s. the computer still got imaged. Issue seems to be related to just the web interface giving the error.

    • Updated Ubuntu/Fog

Hi, I have (noticed that when I login to fog the estimated fog sites and the other 2 were not coming up also when logging in I was getting Failed to get latest info from the FOG Version Information) then I noticed that there is an update to fog + ubuntu, so I updated my ubuntu and also Fog however I am still getting same issue.

Also when completing the Fog installation I am getting the below:

      51c71576-33cf-4a7c-bfdb-1c39eef7fc55-image.png

The web interface seems to be working however got some pages that are not working

Fog Configuration page - kernel update
      - log viewer
      Snapin - create new snapin

I have received the below that a new version is available. Is it worth updating?

Also I had a quick search but couldn’t find a tutorial on how to do it.

You are not running the most current version of FOG!
You are currently running version: 1.5.5

      Latest stable version is 1.5.8

    • RE: UEFI boot from pxe

Managed to get it to work however got stuck on another issue.

After deployment I am encountering another issue after joining the computer to domain windows update is coming up blank and when clicking on start button and start typing nothing comes up (using the built in administrator everything works fine)

On the legacy image I managed to fix it by using the setupcomplete.cmd (%WINDIR%\Setup\Scripts\SetupComplete.cmd) however this being a Dell laptop with OEM license it seems that this does not work

If anyone encounter this issue go to bios and change sata operation from Raid on to AHCI and should work.

    • UEFI boot from pxe

I got a new Dell Latitude laptop and cannot change the setting to legacy as its using an 8th gen cpu. So I need to create an image for UEFI too 😕

I already had the option of 066/067 configured on my dc and was working fine for legacy option however for UEFI its displaying so I added the ipxe.efi

    • Re entering group details after adding pc

Not sure if this is normal but I have setup groups, when adding a computer to a group the group settings are lost (image, to join computer to domain details, snippets) and I have to reapply them to the group each time. Is this normal?

I tried adding the pc to the group in 2 ways and both had the above issue.

Go to the group, membership, click here to see what hosts can be added, select host and click apply
Go to the host, membership and same as above

      Is this behavior normal ?

    • RE: 70Pcs imaging all unbranded

@sudburr thanks for the script seems to have fixed the issue, managed to get the pc to join to domain automatically, added apps to be installed using choclatey via snapin (script below just in case someone needs it) as each time the files are downloaded and will have always the latest versions installed with no intervention.
Also uninstalled windows assessment and deployment kit since I used the website to get the answer file

      Got another question:

1- When using groups it doesn’t tell you what snapins are selected just the ones that are available any idea why and how to know which ones are selected?
2- When the software in the snippets is being installed in the background, can I install other software manually?

    • RE: 70Pcs imaging all unbranded

not sure why but when deploying the image I am encountering this issue when joining the pc with domain.

      • after installing outlook it is freezing on opening page
      • installing sage same issue
      • when clicking on start and start typing the typing doesn’t come

when logging in with local admin user everything works fine. sfc /scannow didn’t fix the issue, after deloying and doing sysprep again it is working fine, so I guess it has to do with the unattended file.

I downloaded the file from: http://www.windowsafg.com/ and choose (Win10 MBR as my pcs are using Bios mode Legacy) and the only thing I amended was the first part so that it would copy the profile settings to the default profile
