RE: TFTP issues intermitent
Well definitely spoke to soon even after the updates I am still forced to run this command every so often “restart tftpd-hpa” which fixes the issue usually for about an hour sometimes a lot less I will be making a new install using 12.04.4 LTS server I haven’t heard anything bad about that one.

RE: TFTP issues intermitent
Well so far it’s looking like the updates may have fixed my issues I haven’t had a TFTP timeout since the update so I will keep you posted if it starts up again.

RE: TFTP issues intermitent
Yeah if this doesn’t work I will make a new server using 12.04 its what I used in the pass and it worked flawlessly. Didn’t think that would be such a big issue.

RE: TFTP issues intermitent
Yeah before the upgrade I was using 12.04 but thought it would be safe to update the server as well I was suspecting it was the problem but its so hit and miss it was making it tough to trouble shoot.

RE: TFTP issues intermitent
Yeah I updated it to the undionly.kpxe when I did the upgrade normally it boots right away into the fog menu takes like 2 to 3 seconds but when it goes south after about 20 seconds it times out. Now I am starting to believe the problem is server related I got one machine to image by restarting the fog server it seems that apache2 is randomly crashing but only on certain things it appears everything is working till you log into the fog server and there is a ton of errors. I am using Ubuntu 14.04LTS is there a different version I should be using or a different OS? We have been using this for 4 to 5 years now and this is the only hic up we have ever seen this is an excellent product especially when you have no budget.

TFTP issues intermitent
I am having issues since upgrading from 0.32 to 1.2 that some machines fail at network boot now we have 60 machines that are all identical and all boot except for the odd on I would say somewhere between 10 and 20 come up with this error PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout I am not sure what is causing this any help would be appreciated.

RE: Lenovo M73 will not boot from local disk
Another issue I found was the M73 would load the Fog menu but than would hang on booting from Hard drive but if I switched the boot order back to hard drive first that would fix the issue and it would boot right up after imaging, now this was on a fog server running 0.32 not sure about the newer versions of fog.

RE: How to use clonezilla with a fog image from 1.2
Well I have manage to uncompressed the image using 7-zip only problem is clonezilla doesn’t seem to recognize rec.img and sys.img is there something else that needs to be done?

How to use clonezilla with a fog image from 1.2
Hi all love the fog server I image almost 70 dell 270s without a problem except one refuse to boot up properly to Full registration or imaging can get to the FOG menu than it just goes to pieces. What I want to try is to use clonezilla to push the image to this one machine that wont IPXe boot properly can anyone tell me what I need to do so that the FOG image is useable by clonezilla?

RE: New to FOG - Deploy image over Wifi
Tom what commands would you need to use to unzip the image to be useable with clonezilla?

RE: TFTP fails after upgrade to 1.2
I had the same issues the fix for me was using terminal to restart mysql server as well as the tftp server than it was all back to normal not sure if this is gonna happen everytime I reboot the server or not.

RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater keeps starting up everytime FOG is restarted
I will try this thanks for the info

RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater keeps starting up everytime FOG is restarted
Yeah that fixed it I am thinking Ubuntu 14.04 is having issues as I have never seen so many services not start up properly or my install is bad will no more once the new server gets here.
-
RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater keeps starting up everytime FOG is restarted
Now it wont boot into the Ipxe which was working flawlessly till server restarted.
-
RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater keeps starting up everytime FOG is restarted
Ok I got it going by restarting MySQL not sure why it didn’t start up properly but it could be Ubuntu causing that problem as far as I can tell this new verison of Fog is way better than .32.

Database Schema Installer / Updater keeps starting up everytime FOG is restarted
I am running a clean install of Ubuntu 14.04LTS with the latest FOG I did about 4 images and noticed the time was off by about 9 hours so I edit php.ini now when I restarted the computer when I go to the fog page it wants to rerun the installer Schema and keeps failing as its already done this is there some type of flag that needs to be turned on or off in a config file so it just loads the fog management section without thing it needs to update the schema again? Also checked the MySQL password is in the config file so that’s not the problem.
