Is it possible, If I have all the images created and stored on a server to have it find a specific image to use for imaging that particular system?
E.G: an HP-15-223WM boots from PXE and it looks for image name HP-15-223WM and begins restore imaging process?

Hi, You can register all of your hosts (manually via iPXE or via the new FOG client if you have windows client machine), create groups in FoG for each model, and link the model image with the model group.

    • RE: Host Product Key not saved correctly in Web Management interface

@Gardinero Hi, you add the product key ?

      Like that :

      W269N-WFGWX-YVC9B-4J6C9-T83GX

      Or :

      W269NWFGWXYVC9B4J6C9T83GX

I ask you about that because there are 4 hyphen 😛 Not sure if you have to keep or remove it in the field Host Product Key

@cRz87 Solved via Teamviewer. We have modified the NFS settings in the Synology to allow all the adress of the network to mount the nfs share, not only the FOG server.

    • RE: Add Synology as Storage Node without installing Fog Storage Node role

@cRz87 Hi, you have to create a user fog on your nas with the same password of your fog user in your Ubuntu Server. Ensure that rights or 777 on your NAS Share and .mntcheck files are presents in your /volumeX/images and /volumeX/images/dev.

How about after I stop it will the clients grab dhcp from the windows server and also how will the clients reach the fog server

you have to specify in your windows DHCP server the 66 and 67 option : https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Windows_DHCP_Server

@Hanz Hi, I don’t understand why the host deleted and re-added solve the problem, it’s a ipxe loading problem. Have you upgrade your FOG installation before try another boot ? When you had this problem, you had just updated FOG?
