The client mount the NFS share without authentication, your problem is not here. I’ve never export a CIFS share via NFS.
The simple way is to enable NFS on your storage instead cifs.

@boeleke The legacy password is for the legacy client : it’s useless in your case.
Could you post the fog.log present on a client at c:\fog.log ?

@george1421 There is no package available for NAS (like Syno, Freenas, …), maybe in the next version (2.0). If you want to use your NAS as slave storage on a storage group, you have to set only NFS/FTP and fog user on it.

@boeleke What version of FoG client are you using ? 0.9.11 ?
I ask you about that because I’d that problem on 0.9.10.

@boeleke HI, when you upload the image “SecondTrunkTest” your QNAP storage was member of your QNAP group storage au default group stiorage ?

There was two problems : NFS path and NFS network access.

@boeleke Hi, it’s normal, because your NAS is not a “FOG Storage Node”. A real FOG Storage Node is an installation of FOG on another server with “Node Installation”. You NAS have not the FOG installation. It’s not a problem to upload/download.
Tip : If you use multicast your NAS storage node can’t be the master of the group storage.

@Tom-Elliott It’s possible to check if the hw.php is present and display a message to indicate that it’s not a normal node ?
