I think this is only valid for SVN, I’m pretty sure this wasn’t quite yet implemented in 1.2.0.

That said, if you want to try out SVN so you can see the differences coming forward, please feel free. In that case, you shouldn’t need the customized versions of the init’s either.
Hi,

I have not test, but in Fog Configuration\iPXE Menu Configuration, you can select fog.capone and check “default item”. By default it’s fog.local.
Hmm, that must be it then in that case. We use Lync here. Ok, thanks I will look at putting the FOG server on it’s own VLAN. I only use it for imaging anyway so it shouldn’t cause too many problems.

Thanks for the info.
I test this morning on our Lync Vlan, and I have the same problem !!! 😉

Hi,

Thank’s for reply. Now it’s ok in the multicast.log, but parclone stay on Starting to restore image (-) to device (/dev/sda1).

I don’t understand why in multicast the machine contact the storage node.

In my EMC2 nas, I need to create a fog user with the same uid than the fog server ?

• FOG 1.2.0 : Multicast won't work

Hi,

I tried to use multicast without success.

Above the configuration :

• FoG server system on virtual debian server on ESXi (Blade HP + EMC2 Fiber Storage)
• FoG server data (images) on EMC2 storage via NFS
>> The Fiber and NFS storage are provide by the same EMC2, it’s hybrid (SAN/NAS).

I have tried two storage mode :

Mount NFS storage on fog server and declare it on the web interface
Declare an external NFS storage on the web interface

In these configurations there is no problem to download/deploy (unicast), but for multicast :

In the first configuration I have an error on the client : Can’t mount /…/…/ on /images
In the second configuration I have partclone wich freeze on : Starting to restore image (-) to device (/dev/sda1)

Any idea ? 🙂

Regards,
Ch3i.

Hi,

I’ve installed the new version of FOG (1.1) from scratch, and enable Capone plugin.
When I want to edit options by clicking on the plugin picture I have no option.

Is there something to correct that ?

Hi,

With the default kernel in 0.32 version, the computer freeze…
To make it functional you must use the 3.3.3 Core.

I don’t know how to edit the wiki, could you update the wiki “working hardware” section.

Regards.
