I tried a couple of things for injecting the drivers.
One is putting them in the windows/inf – that works great after sysprep.
Or you can use Stand Alone Driver Utility (SAD3) !
How do you disable? Just in the “services”?
What line do you need to add in the XML - file to activate this?

Didn’t find any solution & now you guys got the same problem as me!
I also think it is the FOG client. I prepped more images , and after the install from deepfreeze / fog client i get this error to.
Big big problem

yes i know , but in the standard Snapin Area there are in the directory SSL these 3 files :
CA (directory with files) , fog.csr , .srvprivate.key
Do i need this also on the QNAP for snapins to work?

I have no extra files in that directory /opt/ for snapins. Is this going to work?
What does this file need to be? Just a bat or a text file?

I need to run a script on the first startup.
SetupComplete.cmd is not possible because we are not goind to do a sysprep on this one.
Is it possible to send a script with snapins? If you use snapins , do you need to login with a user?
I don’t think my snapins are working. I use my storage on the QNAP – i can upload the snapin but i think i miss some invisble files there so that it works? Can someone help :)?

Aside that FOG is faster. What do you think are the advantages of WDS? Or FOG against WDS?
I mean … You can’t push .msi -files to the computers with some service in WDS , isn’t it? Similar with Snap-ins?

its my last week internship & i’m writing a bit about the (Image)- solutions I used during this internship.
I 'm pleasantly surprised after using FOG a couple of weeks. Its user friendly , not to diffucult and especially the community is great. I asked a lot and i always get so much help ;)! So thanks.
In my Thesis i’m telling a bit about the differences between the mostly-known ImageSoftware.
Going out from Free software & that the environment got 1 or more windows servers its going between.
Fog , CloneZilla and ofcourse WDS.
Because here are many Fog’gies. I want to know why you guys use FOG and for example not WDS?
What are for you guys the advantages or disadvantages from FOG versus WDS or Clonezilla?
Developers may answer to! I’ll appreciate it!

I’m not sure anymore.
I used driverpacks and SAD3 for another new solution – So drivers in a directory C:\D\SAD3 with a script and setupcomplete.cmd. So no drivers anymore in c:\windows\inf. I Deployed it and got the same error. I’m not understanding it anymore…
Its wierd because i made the same image without that SAD3 and without windows/inf and its just deploying easy.

i’m working on an universal image in audit mode. Its working good till i deployed this image on 2 of my HP computers. I get the problem :" windows could not complete the installation. to install windows on this computer reboot."
When installing , you see its going wrong. And i have no idea what the problem is.
I put manually drivers in the directory c:\windows\inf. When i delete this drivers , it will image good.
On the moment i add some drivers , i get the problem again. I have no idea what the solution is.
I searched already a lot for this. (Its Windows 7 Sysprep Audit mode)

I updated to 7410 – its working now.

my first FOG-server is working great so i needed this one for another physical network (other domain) in the same XEN pool. So i cloned the first fog server to the second and i changed the .fogsettings + the DHCP settings on the server. I can reach the webinterface and i can assign tasks or images or …
But when i put a laptop in this network & i PXE-boot , he don’t find this fog server.
ARP timeout – exiting PXE boot while the client gots a IP in the same network.
Any idea how i can make this work or where the problem can be?

you guys asked me to make a new topic.
I updated my FOG yesterday from git – version : 7312
When i use the option : “Create New Snapin” in Snapin Management , the internet browser try to load the webdirectory for maybe a minute. After that minute , it don’t finds the webpage. (http://10.0.0.45/fog/management/?node=snapin&sub=add)
I tried with Chrome & Firefox. Both have the same problem.
Maybe this isn’t released yet in the new beta version?
