If it is, what log file should I be checking? The imaging process on the VM doesn’t actually state there’s an error.

FOG owns the entire /images/ folder and the permissions are 777.

I seem to have a problem with FOG creating successful images.

I have created images, hosts and groups and have managed to successfully get my sysprep’d VM to send its image to FOG (the folder in the /dev/ folder gets filled up etc), but i’m not sure something is working correctly.

Is it supposed to be copied/linked to the parent folder (/images/) because whenever I try to deploy FOG, it claims there is no image uploaded. In Image Management, FOG is saying the ‘Image On Server’ value is 0.00, so i’m guessing it’s not working ‘correctly’.

Any ideas? Do I just need to change the Image Path value from ‘/images/Windows7Office2010’ to ‘/images/dev/000c292e9606’? That doesn’t seem usable…?

Sorry, I resolved the problem today - LastPass seemed to be conflicting with the form. When I told it never to work on the domain (not just the page) everything was fine.

Just setting out with FOG (1.2.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 Server LTS) for the first time and I’m finding that the System Settings page is not updating correctly, even though I’m turning options like Printer Manager and User Tracker off.

The UI says ‘Settings Changed’ but the tick boxes reappear.

Ideas?

I’m just running through the initial deployment of FOG and had a question about how it handles the AD Joining - specifically whether the FOG process does the actual joining or whether it simply lines up/slipstreams scripts that mean the machine itself does the join after imaging.

I’m weighing up the pros and cons of running FOG on my company network or whether I just need to create a self-contained network with FOG running on an old computer with a GE switch connecting it to X number of machines to push images too, saving the main network from getting hammered.
