RE: database update failed after captureposted in FOG Problems

RE: database update failed after captureposted in FOG ProblemsThe error is ‘Update database failed’ right after it finishes capturing an image it repeats that line and then restarts and tries to capture an image again. Not sure how else to explain it… I was running FOG 1.2.0 which was working fine and upgraded to FOG 1.3.0 RC4. Since then I can’t capture a new image. The only difference is I had to change the storage node to /images/EXT/ last week and @Tom-Elliott was able to resolve that issue for me last week. When trying to capture an image now though it won’t work. Does an FTP directory /user need to be added access you think?

database update failed after captureposted in FOG ProblemsWhen trying to capture a new image when it completes and gives me an error ‘Update database failed’. Any ideas? Running FOG 1.3.0 RC4

RE: FOG /image storageposted in FOG ProblemsOkay. That fixed it. I had already modified what you told me to type. I just never did the /etc/exports. Once I did that it all worked. Thank you!

RE: FOG /image storageposted in FOG ProblemsAfter running those commands I’m still getting Permission Denied. What I currently have is 2 Physical Drives. I have the /images under the main which only has 50GB of space and isn’t able to hold more than 1 image. The other drive I used mount --bind /media/EXT /images/EXT I updated the Storage node to reflect /images/EXT and doesn’t seem to be working. Although after running those commands it updated the /images folder to something else so I’m not sure if that folder works now either. The password in the storage node is correct.

FOG /image storageposted in FOG ProblemsI’m now having issues with the /image storage. I put an additional 500GB drive into the system and mounted the drive under /images/EXT When changing the default storage node path it seems permissions need to be updated to allow FOG to use the new drive. I keep getting permissions errors. When looking at what the /images/ folder is its set to user #777 which doesn’t seem to exist. Do you guys have a way of doing this? I’m sure it’s pretty easy and I’m just missing something.

RE: Unable to Register Host Unknown Errorposted in FOG ProblemsGot it working! Like the new improved feel. I’m guessing there is also a new FOG Client now for the systems themselves?

RE: Unable to Register Host Unknown Errorposted in FOG Problems@george1421 I ran the SVN and nothing changed within my FOG. Not sure if I’m doing it increatly but I copy pasted every command and it still says its running 1.2.0. Am I missing something?

Unable to Register Host Unknown Errorposted in FOG ProblemsHello, I have a new system Dell T3620 Workstation. When trying to register host it fails and all I get is a blinking cursor. I have tried updating the kernel and changing the boot file. I tried adding the host manually and then reloading the system but I’m still unable to image the system. Any help would be appreciated to get it imaging again. Thanks.
