    • RE: Lenovo M72E

      @Wayne-Workman

      We have a lot of these and they work fine for us. FOG in the cloud version 6651.

      System Manufacturer LENOVO
      System Product 4004H1U
      System Version ThinkCentre M72e

      I am using undionly.kpxe for my bootfile. Sounds like something with your network? Sorry I can’t help much, but I figured to let you know it works for me.

      @Tom-Elliott
      Everything appears to be fixed now! Thanks for your help!

      FYI, my one image needed to be changed to Single-Disk (resizable) and I was updated to the latest SVN

      Thanks for all your help!

    • Windows 10 - after upload - partition erased

      @Tom-Elliott

      Here are the steps I took…

      1. After the upload

      I booted back to my win10 flash drive and saw this…
      0_1453732354426_IMG_5462.JPG

      So it must have deleted everything? I then went and quick-imaged it with the image I just uploaded and it went back through, but when it started to boot it said…

      “The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors.”

      1. I went back in and saw…
        0_1453732381246_IMG_5463.JPG

      3)I went to advanced options, cmd prompt with my win10 flash drive and ran, bootrec /rebuildbcd and hit Y to accept it. Restarted and it booted back up.

      Any ideas why it’s deleted my image after upload, then after quick imaging, the BCD isn’t working?

      Thanks for your help!

    • RE: Lenovo 11e - Doesn't pass Menu screen on iPXE

      I just wanted to report back. After updating to the latest dev and using the realtek.pxe bootfile, my lenovo 11e worked fine. I’m not sure whether or not the fog stable release combined with the realtek.pxe would have worked because I did not test that.

      Thanks for all your help!! @Tom-Elliott @Wayne-Workman

      @Wendell321 I updated to the latest dev for FOG and then in your DHCP you need to change your scope option 67 from undionly.kpxe to realtek.pxe

    • RE: [Rev 4201] blank page when trying to install/update database schema

      @Sebastian-Roth said:

      Thanks for posting this. Please check your apache DocumentRoot setting: grep DocumentRoot /etc/apache2/*/*

      Seams a bit like thinks got mixed up. See the timestamps of /var/www/html/fog… It’s Jul 16. From the error messages we saw in the apache error log this is the one being currently used and probably what you will see when grepping for DocumentRoot. But the newest date (Nov 4) is /var/www/fog. And I guess this directory is from a newer trunk install but is not being used.

      If I remember right Ubuntu changed from /var/www to /var/www/html not that long ago. Tom changed the installer to reflect this and maybe it ran into some condition on your system to also change this at some point.

      My advice:

      • Backup all the stuff in /var/www by moving it (mv /var/www /var/www.bak && mkdir /var/www && chown www-data:www-data /var/www)
      • Update FOG to latest trunk (cd path/to/trunk && svn up)
      • Comment the wget command in the installer script as done before
      • Run the installer
      • Check DocumentRoot setting (see above) and compare with what you see in /var/www

      I really hope this will get us one step further. I am very sorry that it took us so long to find out about those different fog directories in /var/www…

      This worked for me! I had very similar issues!

      Thanks!!

      @Wayne-Workman @Tom-Elliott 127.0.0.1 worked! I did not test localhost with a reinstall since that worked.

      My load just went up a lot, but I’ll see if it drops after a few minutes.

      Thanks for the help!!!

      I went into my fog database in mysql… Inside it had data, so it is there. Any other ideas to try and get this working since I can’t restore one of those mysql backups?

      Thanks a lot!

      @Wayne-Workman @Tom-Elliott
      I tried going backwards (rc-8 and 5934 as well), but now I get the attached pic.0_1473348698188_Capture.PNG

      I checked out that config.class.php and it shows the correct settings to my DB, and I also restarted the mysql service, but no luck.

      I can open a new post if you want since this is kind of separate, just let me know.

      Thanks!

      @Wayne-Workman Sorry… how to I go about downgrading back to RC-9? I’ve used svn up on my trunk folder over and over, so I don’t have the last version downloaded.

      Thanks again!
