@Andrew-ASPH It sounds like you have a bleeding edge nic card in that device.

Would I would do next is check the broadcom web site to see if there is a specific linux driver available for that system. If so, you “might” be able to talk the developers into integrating that nic driver into the FOS engine.

  • @Wayne-Workman
I have install Kubuntu on it from a USB stick, the Intel WiFI works fine, the Broadcom NIC is recognized and has the same error
    from dmesg

What I want you to do is to schedule a capture / deploy to one of these systems. BUT before you schedule the task make sure you click on the debug check box then schedule the task.

PXE boot the target computer, after a few enter key presses you will be dropped to a linux command prompt on the target computer.

I want you to post the output of the following commands

    1. ip addr show
    2. lspci -mm or lspci -nn I can’t remember off the top of my head.

  • @Andrew-ASPH said in HP EliteDesk 705 G2 MINI:

Can you boot one of these units from a Ubuntu live disk and see if it can recognize & use the NIC? If so, there is hope.
