      @cojohnson Just an update here. I put a request in the developers queue to look at this thread to see if it is similar to the issue I linked. They may be related… or not.

      Please wait for their feedback.

        Hmmmnn interesting. I used an ftp client on windows and line 23 contains =& on that file. However, when i view the SAME file on the fog server using vi, vim, and nano i do not see the =& on line 23.

        Looks like i will just wait a few days and then upgrade again.

        Thanks for all of your help!

          @george1421 I think this was the fix/band-aid

          https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/8238/database-update-failed-after-image-capture/3

          With your favorite text editor edit /var/www/fog/lib/fog/fogmanagercontroller.class.php

          “change the =& on line number 23 and remove the & symbol”
          Then save and exit that file.

          I’m not sure on the timing of RC6 being released, it WILL be a few days though.

            @cojohnson Ooops you ran into a bug in rc5. I think tom posted a “you can fix it patch”. Let me see if I can find it.

              @cojohnson Those errors will be fixed next release, nothing serious I believe.

              Is the host you’re trying to deploy the image to assigned to the correct storage node?

                @george1421

                If i set the Master node to 5, imaging will occur. However, like you said, we do not want this and would rather have the nodes handle imaging. Do I have to manually configure the nodes for location services somehow?

                I am also getting a bunch of errors in the Apache Log file. I dont know what the errors are referring to? Any ideas?

                  @cojohnson Ok I know this isn’t what you want to do in a production environment. But on you master node, change that value to 5. What I’m interest in seeing is if master node =0 then no imaging can happen.

                  With all of these storage nodes, are you using the location plugin to direct the clients to the right storage node?

                      I have upgrade all of the fog storage nodes and the server to RC-5. I am still having the same issue. Any other suggestions?

                      Thanks in advance!

                          I do believe this is fixed in the latest version if I’m not mistaken, so upgrade upgrade upgrade.

                            I would suggest that you upgrade to RC5 on all of your storage nodes and your master node. Then we can check into this more. I know there have been about 40 fixes since rc1.
