BZImage...No such file or directory when trying to start an image
-
@ryan.mckenzie Remove the /var/www/fog/service/ipxe/bzImage412 from that host in the host kernel field
-
@Tom-Elliott ok removed
-
@ryan.mckenzie now try booting the machine and let the magic begin!
-
@Tom-Elliott ok this is where I get stuck using the default kernel… It loads bzImage… ok
init.xz… okthen it is stuck here. does not go any further, this is why I was trying a different kernel. Any ideas?
-
@ryan.mckenzie Did the 412 kernel work in the past?
-
@Tom-Elliott never had tried it before… Could my image be bad? Some other system admins i know recommended I try it
-
@ryan.mckenzie It’s not getting that far, so the “image” has 0.
-
@Tom-Elliott ok gotcha
-
@ryan.mckenzie Do you know if it’s booting via UEFI?
-
@Tom-Elliott The 780 should not be uefi capable. The 390/790s were the first gen that supported uefi. I can grab a 780 and confirm if necessary.
-
@george1421 hmmm ok I cannot find the uefi setting in the bios
please confirm -
@ryan.mckenzie ok I am an idiot my eyes are horrible it is a 760! Dammit I don’t have an image for a 760!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Sorry guys I apologize
-
@ryan.mckenzie Confirmed. No uefi. And confirmed that I can pxe boot into fog compatibility test without issue (FOG 1.3.4 stable)
-
@george1421 great thank you! I will continue to work on this 760 and not try to confuse them again! lol
