      A few weeks ago I tried to deploy an image to a notebook and everything starts as usual, but at the moment when the copying of the image starts the notebook reboots. Because of other work I forgot this, but today I had the same issue with another computer. I can’t see any error message before the unwanted reboot.

      It doesn’t matter if I start a task in the webinterface or if start with Quick Image in the boot menu.

      Has anybody an idea and can help me?

        My guess, you don’t have PXE boot first.

        Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

          The first item of the boot order is PXE.

          Meanwhile I tested another machine. There’s the task working with no problems. The main difference - as I can see - is the size of the harddisk. Can this be the reason for this reboot?

            @max.maeuschen Nope, but you’re going to have to get us a video or series of pictures so we can better help.

              @max.maeuschen My suspicion lies with needing to run fixparts on the disk before uploading.

                @max.maeuschen

                Does your notebook currently have an operating system installed?

                Did you replace the hard drive in this unit, or is the hard drive blank by chance?
