This morning, when I tried to log in to the FOG server from my browser, I was redirected to a page titled ‘Database Schema Installer / Updater’ which included a button titled ‘Install/Upgrade Now’. I clicked on the button and immediately got a page which said ‘Update/Install Failed!’ with a long list of errors (saved as text file and attached).

I can’t get past these screens.

Ubuntu Server 14.04.1 with Lubuntu for GUI / FOG 1.2.0

make sure the DB is running. it’s going to be either MySQL or MariaDB - I don’t remember what one Ubuntu 14 uses.

MySQL for Ubuntu – but doesn’t FOG launch it automatically?

Anyway, I started it, tried the update, got another error. Did a restart on mysql, tried the update again, and got a message that everything was already up-to-date. Odd.

Anyway, up and going again. Thanks for the quick response.

@TRex You might not be permanently up though.

There’s a known issue with FOG 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 14 and higher - and you just experienced it.

This issue is solved in FOG Trunk.
