It goes from the screen above to the FOG menu, then after several seconds it boots into windows.

if you have an upload task waiting for that host, you should never see the FOG menu… it should just go straight to the uploading process.

That seems to be the problem. The task shows up a queued but never begins.

@SantRamos You registered this host? This host has one NIC or two?
How did you register this host?

The host is registered. I registered the host via the web client and also have it running FOG service.

Can you delete the host, and do a “Full host registration” from the boot menu please?

this will eliminate the possibility of typos.

Then after registration, from the FOG web UI, create an upload task for the newly created host.

I get an “Invalid MAC Address” response when I try to register from the boot menu.

I get an “Invalid MAC Address” response when I try to register from the boot menu.

                  Now we’re cooking.

Please try to set your DHCP option 067 to undionly.kkpxe and see if you get the same error or not.

Another area to look at is the boot menu’s “Compatibility” items…

When I’ve tried changing to “undionly.kkpxe” it will go to the FOG menu but won’t load windows. When I go through the “Compatibility” options I can ping the server, it displays a MAC address, and the “Check FOG Compatibility” passes.

@SantRamos What is the model of the target device? Also, when you choose “display MAC” in the compatibility menu, does it display the correct MAC ?

It’s a Dell Latitude E6520. When I go through “Display MAC” it displays the correct one.

Is this the only model affected, or will no model upload an image?

Yes, the firewall is turned off on both the FOG server and the host I am trying to upload from.

@SantRamos I think I know where your failure is… when you say “fails to initialize” I think that’s the actual error, right?

@SantRamos The command might be different in Ubuntu 10…

Can you try the “testing TFTP” parts at the top? If that works, tftp is indeed running and ok.
