Dell Venue 11 Pro UEFI Imaging Issues
-
Hey Everyone,
I am running the most up to date version of FOG and i am trying to image the Dell Venu Pro 11 tablets we have here and i am hitting a brick wall. I know that these tablets are a UEFI bios and i know FOG has issues with UEFI. I read tutorials online about using GPXE and upgrading to 1.0.1 + but after upgrading the undionly.kpxe file to the new version i cant even get my regular laptops to boot to the FOG screen. Here is what i have tried so far.
Upgraded Dell Bios to latest
Upgraded undionly.kpxe file to 1.0.1 + but cant get Fog boot menu to load . Reverted back to 1.0.0
Disabled secure boot in Dell Bios
Enabled UEFI boot pxe boot stack in Dell BiosOn the tablets it gets to checking media presence and then boots to Windows. I am stumped. Also tried Clonezilla live on a USB key and i get a bunch of error messages. Truly need help. Pleaseeeeeee lol Thanks in advance.

what version of fog are you running? the current official release is 1.2.0
regardless, fog does not work on UEFI only computers yet (officially, anyway. all currently working UEFI builds are considered experimental, and for good reason)
unless your computers have a legacy mode, there isn’t much we can do for you at the moment -
Running Fog 1.2.0 . Latest build. Any idea when UEFI will wok in Fog ? I love the software.

sorry, no idea

Unless these are different from the ones we have, you can switch them to legacy boot. The BIOS/EFI/firmware is almost identical to that of Dell’s laptops and desktops, and it has all the same options, including legacy boot options to completely disable Secure Boot and UEFI.
