    Hello,

I attempted to collect an image from a Dell Latitude laptop without first adding it to the Fog database. I also used the Fogprep utility, which I understand I don’t need to use with the new version of Fog.

Now, every boot to the PXE attempts to find this laptop in the Fog database and fails: “Unable to locate host in database, please ensure that mac address is correct.”

I thought by forcing the laptop to load Windows, it would reset the Fogprep and then would allow me to PXE boot and add the machine to the Fog database prior to trying to image it again, but this hasn’t worked.

    Can someone assist me?

    Thank you,

    Rann

I can’t assist you yet either, but I did just have this happen to me yesterday as well. I had a client added tot he database, then removed it due to an image issue. Now every time it boots I get the “Unable to locate host in database, please ensure that mac address is correct.” error as well. There is no sign of it in the database either. If you found an answer, I’d appreciate any help.

      Thanks,

        Navigate to /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg
Delete the file with the name as the mac address of your host

This also happened to me. I just manually added the host through the WebUI with the computer name and mac. Fixed it for me. Hope it works for you.
