Help with quick registry and inventory

I’m having problems adding several workstations to my Fog server. They are all in the same subnet as my server and I have several other workstations that are up and running. I have added them as hosts with their MAC addresses. However when I PXE boot, I see DHCP reaching out for a response, and then it just boots to Windows and never shows me the FOG menu.
Is it because I have already added them as hosts? I thought that the quick registration and inventory was still required? I tested sending a snap-in to see if they were up and running, but it just stays stuck in the queue - while I can send snap ins to the other computers.

They should at least still be showing the menu. You are correct you do still need to register the host to fog and assign an image. Afterwards it SHOULD continue to boot to the FOG menu and then the OS. When it boots to the FOG menu you will noticed that at the top (If you are on fog version 1.0.0 or above) that the Host name you gave the machine will be displayed at the top and the options to register will have changed.
I would look into the switch gear, give it a gentle reboot, possibly the server too.
If you run a tftp get command from Windows does it complete? If you load a machine that has yet to be registerred does it display the FOG menu? Are any other models of machines skipping the boot menu to boot to windows? How long do you have your FOG menu set to count down from?

It’s not because they’re already added as hosts at all.
It sounds like the systems aren’t getting DHCP during PXE boot.
A few questions:
What version of FOG are you running?
What kinds of switches are connecting your networks?
Do these switches have STP enabled?
If you have STP Enabled, do you have the ability to “portfast” or rapid STP?
If you don’t have rapid or portfast, do you have the ability to disable STP?

Thank you, I was able to get it. TFTP is not enabled by default in Windows 7. We aren’t using our Fog server for DHCP, so I just had to enable tftp and it worked.
