Snapin task failed (Ubuntu 14.04 and FOG 1.0.1)

  • I have no problem initially deploying snapins, however, it seems once they’ve been deployed to a machine and that machine gets re-imaged, and it goes to redeploy the snapins I get the following error:

“All Snapins task failed to create for computer with image imagename
Snapins Are already deployed to this host.”

Thanks in advance for any offerings!

  • No upgrade, it’s a fresh install

Did you upgrade from 0.32 to 1.x.x?

what does the fog.log file in the root of the client say?

  • It was to my understanding that if the snap-ins were already assigned to the machine they would get installed following the image deployment, however they are not.

So I deployed an image waited for it to get fully loaded and logged into the computer as a user, go back to fog and scheduled an immediate snapin deploy task, that’s when I would run into this message/error

I also checked Active Snapin Tasks and Scheduled Tasks and there’s nothing pending in there

are you trying to schedule a snapin deploy task for a host right after creating the imaging task?
