I scewed up my vsftp.conf file for FOG!

  • I was playing around with my /etc/vsftpd.conf file and accidentally deleted a bunch of important stuff as my FOG server isn’t working now. ARG.
    Anyone have a back-up of working settings? They can post here? Thanks!

    Here is what I have - not sure if the file format is all screwed up either…
    #anonymous_enable=NO local_enable=YES write_enable=YES local_umask=022
    dirmessage_enable=YES xferlog_enable=YES connect_from_port_20=YES
    XFERLOG_STD_FORMAT=yes LISTEN=yes PAM_SERVICE_NAME=VSFTPD USERLIST_ENABLE=yes
    tcp_wrappers=YES

    Thanks!

  • OK - Fixed the TFTP - Reinstalled Thanks for the help!

  • Yeah I have he same settings getting this error when I try to run vsftp.

    Getting this new pre-launch excpetion. Command vsftp from package vsftp main.

    Looks like it’s time to reinstall the good old FOG Server LOL!

    I did change very to the password bos - so that should help when i reinstall.

    This is what my vsftp.conf file looks like:

    anonymous_enable=NO
    local_enable=YES
    write_enable=YES
    local_umask=022
    dirmessage_enable=YES
    xferlog_enable=YES
    connect_from_port_20=YES
    xferlog_std_format=YES
    listen=YES
    pam_service_name=vsftpd
    userlist_enable=NO
    tcp_wrappers=YES

  • Ok - I’ve deleted this file as every thing was screwed up…
    I was getting errors that they parmaters boolean where not correct TRUE or FALSE?
    Could not connect to server! Is the response I’m getting.
    I reinstalled the app and still nothing can even open a connection to the computer.

    DESPERATE OVER HERE – Sorry for asking for help in such a hurry!
