what do you have set for DHCP option 67?
older versions of fog used pxelinux.0
fog 1.0+ uses undionly.kpxe -

Make sure your tftp service is running, if you want to make sure, from a windows machine (if windows 7 and above please add the TFTP Client feature from the add remove programs section and open a command line.
Type the following
tftp x.x.x.x get unidonly.kpxe
and tell me if the command completes successfully, if so then TFTP is working and your settings are not correct in your DHCP.
If you would like to avoid the headache… I recommend DNSMASQ it is a proxy service that really helps to resolve pxe booting problems.
If your DHCP is set up for pxelinux.0 yes you need to edit it for undionly.kpxe

timeout…@windows
i have 2 fog’s. one @ my vmware workstation and one on a notebook. i stopped the vm fog and connect the mobile fog to the ethernet…it works? but the cmd command timeout.
who can i check the tftp service @ my vm?

You’re in luck man.
My guess is your router options aren’t setup properly.
Try:
Under dd-wrt services tab
Additional DNSMasq Options: dhcp-boot=undionly.kpxe,fogstorage,<FOGIP>Apply and try tftp again. You don’t need any other fields in this box.
PS I run dd-wrt at home on my routers.

dhcp-boot=undionly.kpxe,fogstorage,192.168.2.100 ok?
dns rebind?

I don’t have dns-rebind enabled on mine.
-
ok, the firewall from my server 2012 blocked tftp… only port 69 or more? greez
-
UDP port 69 should be it.
