Fog 3.2 installation problems
-
I’ve been trying to get FOG server installed on a fresh Ubuntu 12.4 install and have run across many problems. The one I’m facing right now is there not being any dashboard graphics. Has anyone run across this problem? I’m not even sure if I’ve set everything up correctly as I’ve hacked everything up pretty nicely to this point.
I don’t know if it means anything but if I go to /fog/management/index.php?node=hwinfo I run across a “Invalid Server Information” error.
Previous issues:
-error in /var/www/fog/management/includes/mainmenu.include.php (line 32 change $SERVER to $_SERVER)
-date.timezone not set in php.ini file (change date.timezone line and restart apache)
-json support not included with default installation (sudo apt-get install php5-json)
-udpcast version not current and install stopping at that (download newest version of udpcast, drop tarball in packages directory and update <untar dir>/fog_0.32/lib/common/config.sh) -
Apparently I was just using the wrong browser. It works in chrome…

Well then I am glad you got it sorted, in the future, it would be a good idea to try a few different platforms before posting.
Were you running into display issues on your fog server, or were you getting display errors when using a windows box?
I don’t have any issues with displaying content in the native FireFox browser. Have you ran the update on Ubuntu?
I was running an Ubuntu server without a display, so the problems were with the Windows box with IE10 I was connecting to the web interface with. There were loading icons, just that the pics weren’t loaded. Then I had someone mention that the graphs were HTML5 canvas elements.
Next time, I’ll remember to try multiple browsers
