Not booting to PXE (UEFI)
-
Hi Guys…
I have a question, We have Zoostorm mini PCs and on Bios, I am trying to boot PXE to the Fog server, but in bios, it has only UEFI PXE and no legacy PXE boot.
Any idea how I can get the PCs to boot to UEFI PXE on the fog server so I can deploy images onto 32x machines
Thank you
Bhav

@Bhav Do you use FOG for DHCP and if not, did you follow the documentation when setting up your DHCP Servers?
IIRC you need to point your DHCP server to bios and uefi bootfiles respectively. -
@pilipp_edv
Thanks for the reply back, Yes, I think we have set the Fog for DHCP.
if I am right is it to install dnsmasq ?if not… can you point out the documentation of it please
Thank you

@Bhav Just for clarity, do you have an isolated imaging network or are you trying to image on your business network?
If you have an isolated imaging network then you should have configured FOG to setup a dhcp server. The configuration will work for both bios and uefi computers.
If you plan to image on an existing business network, then your primary dhcp server needs to be configured to support pxe booting.
So lets start with how do you plan on imaging?
Second if you are planning on imaging using your business network, what device is your current dhcp server? -
