I’m receiving this error as soon as init.xz loads after selecting any item on the FOG boot menu booting a device via UEFI. Legacy boot loads just fine. I downloaded init.xz from github and set permissions accordingly but the issue persists.

@DBCountMan Which init.xz exactly did you download? There are several ones online.

Do you have the old one still available to put in place and see if you can get things back to working with this?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Sebastian-Roth Sorry I didnt see your first question. This is what I downloaded:
          https://github.com/FOGProject/fos/releases/download/20230331/init.xz

I put my backup file back into the original place, /var/www/fog/service/ipxe, file perms identical, init.xz doesn’t load after download. So far on physical PCs and VirtualBox vms I saw the kernel panic error, but on my Hyper-v VM after init.xz downloads to 100% I see that EFI Stub message then black screen. Nothing happens after that.

EDIT: Here’s a screenshot from a physical PC

@DBCountMan I suggest to verify the checksum (sha256 file on github). If the checksum is wrong, then re-download init.xz. But if it’s right then try another init.xz version, e.g. https://github.com/FOGProject/fos/releases/download/1.5.10/init.xz

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
