      Hi all,

i did a first test on Debian 10 using the stable 1.5.9 for imaging three win10 pc labs. Capture from & deploy to test machines worked well. Anyway the production system will be on a bare metal server hosting my (very) old imaging system, and i’d rather like to use Debian 11 for this. As far as i understood i’ll need to use the delevoper branch installer on Debian 11 due to some missing packages required in the 1.5.9 stable installer. But is this recommended for a production system or should i stay on Debian 10 with the stable 1.5.9?

@htwf4imi My recommendation would be to install the dev branch (regardless of Debian 10 or 11) AND

        1. Download the latest FOS Linux kernel (web ui ->FOG Configuration -> Kernel update). Install FOS Linux 5.15.x series.

        2. Update iPXE to the latest version: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/15826/updating-compiling-the-latest-version-of-ipxe

This will bring you up to what 1.5.10 will be when its released. The plan is to release 1.5.10 later this year. But for now we will have to use the dev branch and the additional 2 steps above.
