Optiplex 9010 imaging problems
-
I’m trying to create an image for some Optiplex 9010s with UEFI on them. It shows it having multiple partitions - I’d really just like one partition - so I’ve been using Multiple Partition Image Single Disk. It pulls the images fine, but when I try to deploy them it deploys the first partition, but then more than that it says it deploys them but doesn’t actually show the screen where it does the deploying. FOG says it’s done deploying, but then it can’t find any hard disks when it reboots. My feeling is that this has something to do with UEFI - these are the first machines we’ve had that have had them. Is there a way to get rid of UEFI or some other trick to get the image to work?
Thanks a lot!

At the moment FOG isn’t able to deploy UEFI based images properly (at least due to my experience). You could try to disable UEFI in the BIOS settings and instead use the so called “legacy mode”, which is an emulated BIOS.
If you then install e.g. Windows, you’ll have one 100 MB start partition and the system partition instead of one UEFI, one (Windows) start partition and the system partition. -
That did it, thanks! Once I switched to Legacy Mode, made my image from that and sent it to a computer on Legacy Mode, everything worked perfectly.
Thanks for the help!
