I have setup a Fog server for the first time and successfully booted into the Fog menu from a variety of machines over PXE.

There is a countdown that says “Booting FOG Client” during the PXE boot. I attached a picture to show this. It’s always 16 seconds.

I would like to set this countdown to zero and boot into the Fog menu right away, or at least set it to one second.

Would anyone be able to help me understand if this is some kind of value defined by the Fog project, or maybe something that comes from iPXE, or anywehere else?

      Thank you!

        All good now!

I found out this is part of the dnsmasq configuration: pxe-prompt.

        Very nice.

@editor FWIW If you are having issues with dnsmasq not doing what you want you can review this post: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/12796/installing-dnsmasq-on-your-fog-server

The reason why I mentioned it is because a 3 second count down is not part of the standard dnsmasq settings. If you are missing those you might be missing others listed in the above post.

If your dnsmasq configuration is working perfectly there is no need to review the post.
