Windows Deployment, Data not downloaded
-
Hello,
I created some win7 images on vm player and uploaded them to fog. The frist deployment on another vm player maschine was sucessful. I used the “Bypass Host Registration” Kernel from the user guide. The image was configurated to “Multiple Partitions Single Disk”.
After this, I try to deploy this image on one of our Dell Computers. But it was a great failture. Fog start to download the image like before, but after fog was finished there was no data on the hard drives. It loked like fog didn’t create the new disk partitions or even delete the old ones.
The Dell computer runs on a RAID 1 configuration. There are any problems with RAID setups and fog?

If you want to use RAID, you have to make sure that the driver for your RAID controller is built into the bzImage kernel (/tftpboot/fog/kernel/bzImage).
You might also need to setup the RAID array and logical volumes ahead of time if it doesn’t work automatically even with the correct RAID driver.

Thanks for your respond,
I build my own bzimage from Linux version 3.4.35. My configuration set:

I woking for a week at this issue, trying serveral kernel configuration with no result.
Does anybody using a kernel for deploying on Raid 1 or 5? It would be wonderful if someone can share his kernel.
