FOG 1.2.0 to FOG 1.5.9 import host csv error
-
hello everyone,
I am French, sorry for my English which must be a little poor.
I have for many years a FOG 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 (on small pc desktop). with the new pc’s that come out I decided to migrate and make a new fog on a debian 10 (on virtual server).
until I imported the images, make an export of the sql database from the interface. everything is imported except the csv hosts.
when I import the csv host, the operation goes well but it shows me already existing host (no import).
but when I look on all host I have no host.
I see the groups with the hosts that are part of the group and as soon as I click on a host I get an empty page.
Do I have a basic sql concern? where is the fact that I go from ubuntu to debian 10?
did anyone have this problem? or do you have any ideas on how to fix it?
Thank you in advance.
very cordially

@pascald73 Let me try to look at this from a different angle. Sounds like you did a SQL dump and CSV ex/import. That should not be needed. Simple SQL dump/import should add all the information to your database.
- Clean install of Debian 10
- Install
mariadb-server
andmariadb-client
packages - SQL import of the dump you took from the 1.2.0 server
- Run FOG 1.5.9 installer
Not that I have recently tested this but I reckon this should work.

hello,
I found the solution.
looking at the databases, there are 5 fields on the fog 1.2.0 base and there are 9 fields for version 1.5.9.
so the hots don’t appear.
by importing the database on the new server and importing the csv host everything is ok.
the export of the csv on the 1.2.0 server was with the separator ,
I reworked the file with free office to put it in ;
it works.
I leave the solution here for old fogs who want to migrate to a new machine
