Client Host not showing after 2nd restart

Hi,
Im using FOG server 1.5.7
FOG client on a Windows 10 proAfter the client install is done and the first reboot, i can see the host UP in the host management tab of the FOG server.
But after a second restart, the host will never show up again.

The up/down state in the FOG web UI is not being set by the fog-client software but by the FOG server polling the client (on port TCP 445).

@babouche Allow for connections on port 445 in the Windows firewall.

The windows firewall is not activated, and the client computer is still in “unknown state” with the red icon.
But i can send task to the client computer. -

No, they are not in the same subnet. -
@babouche Then probably the router between those subnets is blocking TCP port 445. I have thought about making the status in the web UI also update when the fog-client communnication is established. But this is not something quickly done and will have to wait.

Hmm i will double check that but i see nothing blocked between my server and the client.
It’s only when i manually ping from my server to the client that i can see my firewall deny the ping.

Ping (ICMP protocol) is handled different by a firewall than TCP connections are. Ping being denied might be a hint on other protocols also being restricted but doesn’t give you a definitive answer on that question.
