Mac OSX renaming of Hostname & ComputerName post imaging
-
Any idea on how to set this up?
-
@ismith-hpu Though I am not sure if our fog-client can do this on Mac OS X yet I would say this would be an apropriate way. We are working on fixing it for Mac OS X at the moment as there is a big issue with SIP (System Integrity Protection). I will keep you posted here when we have a version ready for testing.

@Sebastian-Roth If we disabled SIP, what can I do in the mean while?
-
@Sebastian-Roth Took a look at the service modules and the logic for the host renames is there and seems to be functional in the PR.
-
I saw your thread and I have gotten it working and the FogTray icon shows in the beginning boot.
-
How can I confirm it is fully functional? Is there a submenu if you click on the tray icon?
-
How can I make these changes to have this work like your setup currently?

You need to make sure you install and run the fog-client in the root context.
