Capture error Windows/Linux Partition Count Fail
-
So I have been using this with no issues and I got a box given to me that does boot and they want to update it’s hardware but they want me to FOG capture the image but every time I try I get this error. !
I am stumped does anyone have any pointers on how to get around this?

This means that it couldn’t find any partitions it can resize automatically (eg NTFS, EXT4).
If you are using different partition types that it can’t resize, then you need to change your image type to a non-resizable option in the FOG WebUI

@Quazz I just did that and the clone started; yet my concern is now this locks the OS on to this type and size of drive and they want to upgrade the hardware and this would also include the drive. How do i get around the issue of it only being able to restore on the same type and size drive?

The non-resizable image type is not actually forcing you to only deploy to same type und size of disk. The destination disk can be larger and deployment still works in most cases.
Nevertheless it would be interesting to find out why it cannot find resizable partitions. So when the NEW capture is done, go to the directory /images/MB-RH-RMLS on your FOG server and open the text file
p1.partitions
. Post the full content here. -
@Sebastian-Roth if I had to guess it’s lvm setup.
