-
Hi well i though i had so cracked this issue with UEFI I have setup uefi booting and was really pleased to see it PXe boot get a dhcp address and then load the Fog screen but on the count down going down, it does not switch to boot from the local hard drive. It just produces a screen saying Chaining load Failed type s to … Any ideas? This is an Acer laptop and i am using PXEClient:Arch:00007 with ipxe.efi. latest version of fog 1.5.7.2 on unbuntu 16.04. Normal bios booting is ok but i cant switch this new laptop to legacy booting, Cheers Acer.

Ok since you are now using uefi, what is the global uefi exit mode. The default should be REFIND_EFI
FOG Configuration->FOG Settings->EFI BOOT EXIT TYPE

@george1421 you are a Fog God sir. it was sitting on exit it is now set as you suggested and this has worked, that’s fantastic. Just a note, the route was Fog Configuration\Fog Settings\Fog Boot Settings\EFI Boot Exit type. Maybe that’s maybe a 1.5.7.2 update? Thank you very much.

@Trev-lchs So it works now with the proper uefi exit mode?
-
@george1421 Yes it booted into pxe boot and then passed over to the local drive, i haven’t tried to send an image up yet but will be soon. Once again, thank you for your help.

@Trev-lchs uploaded image with no issue, I love Fog. I have been using it since 2006 not an expect by any means and i have no knowledge of Linux, but the online info is great and makes it possible for a Windows man to make it work.
