Changes to the settings for AD-join are not saved, but reset to the state before the change.

I would not believe it if I did not experience it directly. What can it be?

    Running Version 1.4.0
    SVN Revision: 6069

@Deimos Well I can tell you that you will get limited support from the developers since you are on such an old version of FOG.

If you want to stick to the 1.4.x chain then I would suggest you update to at least FOG 1.4.4 June 2017 https://news.fogproject.org/fog-1-4-4-officially-released/. FOG 1.4.4 was the last stable release in the 1.4.x chain. I don’t know if the issue you mentioned was resolved by 1.4.4 or not but it may be worth the effort to upgrade to get the other bug fixes. You will also want to update the FOS Kernel to 4.19.x or later to get the intel network adapter support and NVMe disk support of the more recent hardware.

The latest release of FOG is 1.5.6 (with 1.5.7 just a few days away)

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

@Deimos Any news on this? George is totally right about updating to a current version is the only way we can help you if it turns out to be a bug in the version you use.

Beside that you might want to look into cleaning up the database to see if it makes a difference: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Troubleshoot_MySQL#Database_Maintenance_Commands

Has this ever worked? When did it work last? What changed since then?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

This is a very interesting site. I can not handle the problem at the moment, because I have to work very actively with it at the moment and the system must not break down. I have to copy/paste the correct AD-Files into the field and save them (group data). THis works for every single group or host. But not generally. Anyway, I’ll just update after this month and see what happens.

@Deimos From what you are saying I am wonder if you aware of the fact that FOG does not have persistent group settings. It’s more or less just a tool to push a setting to several hosts at once but it does not stick to the group itself.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
